This is my friend Angie, whom I have drawn for her birthday today :D

I had to rush this a bit to get it done, I've a massive amount of school work now, but I got it done and everyone that saw it was stunned :D

I especially loved the expression on my chemistry teacher's face who was just utterly shocked and amazed :D
And also Michael's, who stood beside me and held the drawing and all he could get out of him was "Fuck off!!"...8 times :D :D

The reason why her eyes look a different is because she has heterochromia ([link])

Time: 5 hours
Materials: A4 bristol (yeah I invested haha :D)
0.7 and 0.9 H mechanical pencils
eraser

Drawn from a photograph she gave me which I cannot give a link to because it's not on the internet.

Enjoy!

Excellent work, what is a mechanical pencil? Sorry for the ignorance.

Thank you very much :D Oh not at all, many people ask me the same thing :D However, since I am terrible at explaining things, why not let the good old Wiki do it for me :D [link] . I hope that makes it a little bit clearer

This is a very lovely piece of traditional work and a certain sign of gifted talent. What you've shown certainly breathes life and you can feel the energy of the model straight away, almost though as she could walk right out the paper. Your understanding of anatomy is good and although references from a photograph the transition of this in pencil is still quite startling and if placed together they would be perfect matches with little to no differences.

What has really made this work though is your shading, the combination of soft gradient lighting through the pencil is startling and way you've also worked with the hair through the combination of hard and soft strokes works well. Though it is the lighting that really steals the show since you've put a lot of patience and understanding in how the lighting presents itself on her skin and within select areas on her face.
